This privacy policy applies to the B-Cooler app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Hans Eberhardt (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Free service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Application collects your device’s location, which helps the Service Provider determine your approximate geographical location and make use of in below ways:

  • Location data is used solely to fetch weather information for your area.
  • Location data is processed directly by Apple’s WeatherKit service.
  • We (the developer) do not receive, store, or have access to your location data.
  • Location data is not shared with any third parties other than Apple’s WeatherKit.
  • You can control location permissions through your device’s Settings app.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Third Party Access

When you use WeatherKit through our App:

  • Apple may collect and process location data according to their privacy policy.
  • Apple’s use of this data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • We recommend reviewing Apple’s privacy policy to understand how they handle location data.

Furthermore:

  • We do not receive raw location data from WeatherKit.
  • We only receive weather information (temperature, conditions, etc.) for your location.
  • We cannot track your movements or location history.
  • We have no control over Apple’s data practices regarding WeatherKit.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

Any information you input into the App (such as timer settings, bottle types, or preferences) is:

  • Stored exlusively on your local device.
  • Not accessible to us or any third parties not mentioned in the privacy policy.
  • Managed through iOS’s standard data storage mechanisms.
  • Deleted when you uninstall the App.

Weather data retrieved from WeatherKit is:

  • Stored exclusively on your local device.
  • Not accessible to us or any third parties not mentioned in this privacy policy.
  • Managed through iOS’s standard data storage mechanisms.
  • Deleted when you uninstall the App.

Weather data retrieved from WeatherKit is:

  • Used temporarily for calculations.
  • Not stored long-term by the App.
  • Not transmitted to any other third parties.

The only way we may directly receive information from you is if you voluntarily contact us via email to:

  • Report issues or bugs with the App
  • Provide feedback about your experience
  • Ask questions about the App’s functionality

When you email us:

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider () so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
